I've been on this forums for years, soaking up tons of information, learning from the best and figuring out, how I can make my impact. I've always had some weird obsession with exotic cars, exorbitant amounts of cash, large mansions, the usual slowlane thinking that led me to never taking action and digging myself further into the slowlane. "Man I wish I was that guy", "Damn, that guy must be loaded to have a car like that" "Yeah, I'm gonna make a million dollars with this great new idea". It's pathetic when I look back on it. Got suckered into plenty of quick cash ideas or slowlane side-ventures that never took off.
My goal with this thread is to keep me honest with everyone but more important, with myself. I just turned 25 and as I look at my parents and many of those around me, high income or safe jobs typically don't lead to true happiness or FREEDOM - and that, to me, is worth more than all the things I used to envy of others.
I'll document my process (journey) on building and growing my business and brand. I'm currently in ASM4 (Amazing Selling Machine 4) - signed up a week or so ago and this was the wake-up call I needed that I can and will take action (if anyone is a current or past student, would love to start/join a mastermind). I hope I can provide even a fraction of the value I've learned from here back to you all.
I won't post any lavish monetary goals that mean nothing. My goal is to generate at least one organic sale a day by the end of the January and replace my full time income by the end of next year, leveraging and reinvesting profits and any saved money back into the business. I will not share my niche or product but I'm passionate and confident that I can build a strong brand around it. It's in a fairly competitive niche with a medium to high barrier to entry but I believe I can come in and carve out my piece and become an authority.
Things accomplished so far:
- Signed up for ASM4
- Gone through first 3 modules
- Decided on product niche and brand for first product and found 3-4 complimentary products that can be added later
- Spoke with numerous suppliers and ordered 3 samples that will arrive next week. If all checks out, will order inventory and try to get into FBA before December in time for any mid to late Christmas/holiday shopping
To-do list:
- Finish module 4 and rest of modules in ASM4 as they are released
- Create separate eCommerce site to diversify my sales channels
- Get packaging and logo designed for product
- Setup and optimize product listings
- Re-read @JasonR 's Facebook ads posts and other posts regarding PPC
- Solidify and cement brand for product and do market research for scalable Brick & Mortar placement
- Launch product(s)
- Get a sale
- "Scale like a mofo" - @(zen*******)
