Unique App for Teenagers - How to Validate This?

A little background:
Found the idea for the app using the Twitter search feature. I was basically
searching for tweets like "I wish there was..." etc. Found one idea which
quite a lot of people tweeted about, so I decided to make it my first venture.
The target users of the app are mostly teenagers.

I wanted to validate the idea quickly to see if there was a true need for it.
So I made the designs, UI and a landing page with real app store/google play
buttons. If a visitor clicks on the button, a pop up tells him that the app
is not ready yet, along with an email opt-in to get notified.

Now it needs some traffic. Well, that's where I'm stuck.

I ran some CPM Facebook ads, which didn't work at all. I think partly
because I targetted a very wide audience, and also because teenagers
aren't really using facebook anymore.

So far my landing page has about 150 visits and only 3 people subscribed.

Anyone have an idea how to validate this idea?
Any insight would be greaty appreciated.

Or are the people tweeting about the idea already big enough validation?

It's hard to give you advice when we know nothing about who you're targeting, what it's for, what the app actually does. This all influences a lot in how to market.

But you said there is a lot of people tweeting about it. Why don't you reach out to them one by one? You don't have to do things that can scale right at the beginning.

Thanks for your reply, will definitely do that.

It's basically an app for sharing photos on Instagram with a few additional features.
So I'm targetting teenagers who have Instagram, mostly girls though.
