The real problem was that our sales were being limited by our (lack of) inventory, which was being limited by our (lack of) cash. And the lack of cash was because our sales weren't high enough.
Such a valuable lesson here.

By navigating through the sales funnel, you identified pain points, and by investigating each pain point, you found the root problem. Phenomenal.

While it sounds basic, how much could we all improve our businesses next year (even if we think we're doing alright)? Another 40%?

Exactly. I haven't read the book, but this concept actually comes directly from "The Goal: A Process of Ongoing Improvement" which just reading about was enough to take action on. The book was recommended to me by Billy Murphy of Forever Jobless aka @snowbank

You say that your business model is broken. Is it really? If it is then shift or get out of the business. What are your growth rates in the last 3 years? Do you know if Justice is growing or are you taking some of their market share? In essence, are you upgrading teenage girls to your brand, store? Your business model might not be broken, only you can figure that out.

I understand the appeal of online and it is possible that you cannot sustain the business with just brick and mortar, but a two tier attack of online sales with a retail presence might help you.
