I've been wondering if local lead generation is still a viable business model in today's market. I've come across discussions about people renting out their phone numbers to get paid for the leads they generate, or even having others complete forms and then selling those leads to companies.
One of the appealing aspects of this business model is the required skill set for entry, which includes SEO, paid advertising (if desired), keyword and market research, and sales skills for contacting businesses.
Additionally, you can offer SEO and paid ad services to the companies you're serving.
Another advantage is the level of control you have, as you're essentially renting your website to a company.
If a company stops paying, you can always rent the leads to other businesses. To me, this model seems to offer enough barriers to entry, control, and scalability, as it can be done globally and serve various niches. Plus, you can upsell other services. It makes sense that businesses are always looking for more sales and customers, and this model allows you to learn high-income skills while potentially outsourcing the process and scaling infinitely. What are your thoughts on this? Is local lead generation still a viable business model?
