Hello! Congratulations on your first company. This is a complex answer for me, an answer in which you probably would know better than I would in this particular sector.

However, consultants in my opinion are likened to "knowledge" or someone who is supposed to know more than I would as a client. I am unsure of the current situation but I know if I'm correct here El Salvador has a large issue with gang violence so would you say trust is very difficult for most in your country? Maybe off topic but just an out of the box thought.

I'd say if you can convey a level of trust through your marketing efforts with a conveyance of knowledge you'd probably be focusing in the right direction.

Brand through trust. How you do it is completely what most people in your market respond to. Maybe if you are targeting business clients, start calling some of them, see what they need or want and if it fits "sell yourself" and what you do, even if it's simply a "hey I'm new here, I exist!". Then through your reputation if you provide great consulting you will likely build a stronger clientele.

Disclaimer: I cannot guarantee that I am correct, just my opinions. Hope this helps. Keep researching and best of luck!

Thanks man!

Here, in Salvador, but Brazil, theres a lot of problems too. Safety, urban plannig sucks, etc. but, China's comming, a lot of opportunities comming too.
And i am focused on small clients, actually i've started, with a friend, which have potencial, so im thinking: fire the clientes up, will fire me up.
Lot risk to leave the driver position? (On fastlane)
By the way, im learning python language.(programmation)

Ah my mistake for the wrong assumption. Motivation is definitely important and keeping everyone on the same page through the rough times and the good times. Because times will likely get rough at some point, usually starting out. Chase the desire of change you can provide to your clients, part of the motivation, and you'll be moving in the right direction.

I think if you trust your employees or co-founders they won't let you down. Of course always be aware of deficiencies or people falling off track - but I believe in the idea that "everyone is a leader" at least with a smaller company.

Hi Dylan! Great initiative. I have an open future on my hands and one of my options is moving to a sunny place in 2018, saw you live in Florida.

Would you recommend to live there? If so what is the best way for a non USA citizen to get a job there?

Hi Camilo. It depends on what you like - I'll point out the cons first - it's warm or hot all year round in most of Florida and also humid. Lots of tourists by beaches, Disney etc. Also there are a lot of old drivers who seem to a least once every few days will be driving on the wrong side of the highway.

On the pros - it's like a vacation all year round depending on the area. I live closer to the beach and it's nice but definitely don't take as much advantage of it as I should lol. Also you aren't too far from Disney, water parks, Miami, etc.

Depending on the city will change a lot too.

As for getting a job I'm not sure what your skills are? There is of course retail. Anything medical is huge with the elderly population. there is a lot of contracting work I see all the time - construction in my area is huge, elderly services, a lot of lawn care and definitely pool care services. It's warm all year round so most homes or apartment complexes have pools. A/C work is pretty good business but definitely rough they are non stop with A/C issues coming up especially on hot days. I can't say for certain but I'm sure you could find employment.

I have a question, something i've been tossing around in my head: When do you trust your gut feeling, and where does that gut feeling come from?

This came up to me while reading about the two minds idea where you have a "Thinking Mind" and an "Observing Mind" and that we don't completely control the Thinking Mind which can cause for emotional thoughts. Is the gut feeling a feeling that is irrational and emotional and shouldn't be taken seriously?

example of an e-book from Mark Manson: someone is thinking about quitting their job,: "As soon as you try to eliminate a thought or emotion, you make it stronger." and he goes on to say: Distill it into a single sentence, such as, “I feel afraid of quitting my job.” And to deal with this: Now close your eyes and imagine Bugs Bunny saying it, while chewing a carrot. Then Mickey Mouse saying it, while dancing and doing cartwheels. Pretend the Chipmunks are singing it to you in the form of a Christmas carol. Make the thought look and sound absolutely ridiculous in your mind. Take your time and play with it. Try to make yourself laugh. After you’ve done this for a minute or two, stop. How do you feel? Chances are you feel much better about it and the negative emotion isn’t nearly as potent as it was before.

But what if you thought(?) that idea was a gut feeling, and you trust that feeling, and follow through to quit your job..

Proposedly if you do the tactic prescribed you can make better decisions that are more objective and helpfull. But if you make all your emotions silly when do you act on something? Is the(unscripted ) f*ck This Event an emotion? Which can be objectified and deemed unhelpful for you...

Don't move to Florida if you can't stand stupid people. I live in Miami and it hurts to see how stupid people really are here. Easiest way for someone without a citizenship to get a job here? There's a lot of companies that hire for manual labor stuff and I know some people that have gotten jobs at those kinds of places without citizenships. It's also really hot here all of the time so if you wanna look cool with clothing layering and stuff you're not gonna enjoy it. Other than that it's pretty much like any other place in the US.

It's always a good initiative to try and help people for the sake of helping them.
But perhaps, it would be more functional to specify areas you believe you've mastered enough to help others with.

As it is, what I see is "throw some shit at me, let's see if it sticks." :)

So, what is/are your areas of expertise?

Good question. Well thinking is an important aspect, until thinking becomes you. What I take from "Thinking Mind" is that it is the mind that conjures up mental noise thoughts "I should do this I should do that, well I remember when the kid in 5th grade said i wasn't a leader" a mind-identified state. The "Observing Mind" is in my opinion is to almost not think but be. I think the gut has a lot to tell us and I think it comes more from the observing mind as you state. Reason being is the gut isn't your thoughts, it is your body responding - it is likely trying to tell you something.

I like that idea - and there are ways to almost "jam" new thoughts into your head by imagining alternate scenarios that may make you feel more comfortable but I think there's a larger root issue. If someone has thoughts of quitting their job, maybe there is a larger purpose for that person, if the signs point you in a direction and they stay there after you've slept on it - it probably is the right decision.

I spent most of my youth trying to wholly understand the mind until I realized that the mind will talk and talk - have you ever seen someone walking around talking to themselves but they don't really notice? The mind is important until it controls your thoughts "I am uncomfortable" "I am unhappy" "Susie pissed me off today" "I'm a failure because I can't build a profitable business" it's all mental labels and stories that are built by our mind but they aren't truly us. What I mean is look at something near you - don't look at it and judge it or think about it just look at it for a few minutes. That is life, you are observing life, you are not the mind in your head you are the experience.

Essentially it kind of is that, maybe you need a secondary opinion or want me to take a look at something or have a questionnaire for market research or need help with something you are working on.

I am 26 years old, I have spent a few years as an Intelligence Analyst, I am currently majoring in Marketing but I've read numerous books and I have applied with some success in various businesses (decals/apparel/etc) that violated the commandment of entry which is why I am in the process of redefining a new problem to solve as I was unable to scale them within reason. Since finishing as an analyst, I have dedicated my life to learning the right ways of doing business and how to help others, currently finishing up some marketing courses.

I have a strong but "undocumented" (no degree) for psychology, listening and assisting with alternative perspectives.

I need you to help me with;

Telling me the EXACT steps.

Take a deep breath first and try to focus on something in the room without thinking about it for a few minutes. What am I trying to do? What is my first step? When you have the first step other steps will likely begin to flow with your defined goal and purpose in your mind and in your heart. As to truly succeed you must be passionate about the process, not necessarily the task itself.

This was actually some pretty good advice, that I could use myself. Nice.

I see that you had written a lot, which isn't necessarily a bad thing but it is time consuming to read - try condensing. Don't analyze everything you do personal and business life, just focus on the big picture and what you are going after.
