If someone was selling essentially a gimmick (albeit legal), like a placebo for instance, but their sales showed consistent, growing profit, would you invest in that company? Would that be unethical or immoral? Does the legality of the BS product make it okay to profit off of people paying for it?

90% of products are BS. Are you going to avoid investing in fast food or vaping or payday loans or Facebook or games or liquor or college or weed or pet accessories or douchebagery courses or whatever else people use to ruin or degrade their own lives?

Take it from someone who's been out there in the self-improvement space with non-commercial intent: 95% of people are sadomasochists. They're hungry, desperate, for any and all moronic self-destructive crap they can inflict upon themselves and those around them. They're the walking dead.

Search for "dick pill profits". You have no idea how deliberately stupid and pathetic most people are.

If someone wants rope, sell it to them. They'll just buy it from someone else if you don't. And then he'll be on the top of the pile instead of you.
