Hi guys,

This post is geared towards those who have operated or still operating an e-store. What would be 3 key lessons you've learned in this business?

Still learning but.

1. Sell something your customers can't easily buy from within a 5 mile radius of their home. If they can, you better have a bloody good reason why they should buy it from you instead.

2. The devil is in the detail. Every page, product, meta tag, image description must be perfect. Layout is important. Consistency and trust is important. Don't scrimp. It's boring and endless but if you want to be the best it needs to be perfect.

3. You can have the sexiest most perfect website, but without eyes on site it's not going to sell. So learn marketing and put a plan in place. This in my opinion is the hardest part of e-commerce.
