Any female fastlaner(s) interested in an accountability partner?

Hello,

I’m looking for a female accountability partner.

I’ve launched a mastermind group composed of women entrepreneurs in my city but it’s difficult to find people focused on changing their lives and build a “world-class” business. Unfortunately most of them were takers trying to get as best as they can without providing any value into the group.

Here is my profile:
- I live in Europe (english is a 2nd language but it’s ok)
- Early 30
- No children, living with my fiancé
- Self-employed since 2009 and now I am about to launch a “real business” which seems to respect the NESCT rules.
- Very ambitious.
- Right now I’m focused on building a life and business providing value around me.
- Learning and reading everyday to develop the right skills for my goals.
- Work-out everyday.
- Trying to seek excellence in everything I’m doing.

As you can see I’m building the best version of myself.

Procastination is an issue when I’m feeling lonely in building my projects (which is often). That’s why I’m trying to find someone (or more people) to share our progress and help each other.

Thank you for message! You’re right. Maybe the solution is to break my goals and then find different partners for each.

I’m also thinking that with time (and results) I’ll find the right people along the way (it’s already happening...).

I don't like accounting...

I hate bookkeeping too, so I try to keep it to an hour or two of my day. But, bookkeeping is SO necessary to being in business. It how we keep score and move in the right direction. Numbers don't lie. BUT, maybe you were talking about being "accountable" rather than the act of doing the business accounting?

I’m also looking for an accountability partner. I’m an artist and art appraiser, juggling two related but separate careers. I’m in central US, working on expanding and tightening my current business.

So, have you found anyone? Over my journey, I've had several different people who have filled that role. And it changes over time. The right person now, won't be the right person next month or next year.

Are you keeping a journal and a milestone list?
When I feel down, I sometimes read my old posts which describe the challenges I faced within the faded time frame. Most of the time, I've forgotten all about them, and I'm dealing with new problems, which keep popping up. Looking back, lifts my spirits.
The milestone list is my way of recording my accomplishments as they happen. Many times I have no sense that I'm getting somewhere. My to-do list never seems to get shorter, no matter how many items I mark off it. I feel like the man in the Greek myth, pushing my boulder up the hill everyday with all of my might -- just to wake up and find it back at the bottom of that same hill the next morning. Often, my effort seems thankless and futile. My milestone list reminds where I have been, and the mountains I have climbed during that journey.
Feeling lonely is part of the price of admission. The further you go, the more space you will have around you. The air at the top is thin. People will fall away from you as you climb the mountain of success. At times, these departures will come as a total shock to you.
I lost contact with my best girlfriend this year. We went and exercised together at the public pool 4 mornings a week for the last few years. We did a LOT of stuff together. Then one day last year, she texted me the she was changing her life and she wasn't going to the pool anymore. I have seen her once since then, at another friend's house.
She doesn't seem to be mad at me. I don't think I did anything to offend her. She just became uncomfortable and very judgmental about my businesses. She was trying to tell me how to run my businesses -- I have 42 years of experience. I listened to her advice, considered it and I did what I felt was right. I was going along, doing my work, and she was retired. We're the same age and she thought I should retire too -- sell out my holdings. Yes, her abrupt departure hurt, but it's happened to me multiple times over the years. I let her go with a open hand and heart. I wish her well.
When people leave you or reject you, it's not personal. They are usually uncomfortable with the gap you are putting between you and them. You are running the race faster compared to them. They can't keep up or don't want to keep up. Most of the time they can't admit it to themselves. Therefore, they have to get mad at you for leaving them behind. And yes, they'll see the whole situation as your fault. You have broad shoulders. You can take the heat. Deflect the blame through a comforting statement and don't miss a step. Keep on running your race while you wish them well. I usually tell people that I'm sorry they feel that way. I didn't mean to make them feel uncomfortable. And I can truthfully say that. I'm am grateful to everyone who has contributed to my life. There's a time and place for everything, and I know that most relationships don't last forever.

Hi Ayda, sounds great! I am interested, I am from Europe and early 30 as well, plus, for what you say about yourself I am sure we would probable get along and be a good fit.
Right now I am in the US but will be moving to my country soon. I recently quit my job to focus on entrepreneurship.
I think what you intend to do is very good, during my previous venture, I had accountability partners and it was very helpful. Feel free to PM if you are interested and still looking for an accountability partner

I have met potential accountability partners but most of them are more interested in the idea of being their own boss (to quit a shitty job) than in entrepreneurship itself. There are also those who are self-help junkies always talking and postponing action...

You're right. People don't want to hear about the day to day grind of running a business. Could of, wanna, should have, someday I'm gonna... and all the other excuses bother me too. Either you do it or you don't. Creating and running a business is a lot of daily consistent, hard work.
