I never thought I would learn so much from a TV show. I can't wait until season 4 comes out on Friday.

My favorite videos are about failure and mistake. Entrepreneurs tend to make the same mistakes as other Entrepreneurs.

I am also looking forward to season two because this is the one i couldn't find on youtube last time.

Big fan of the Shark Tank and Dragons Den.

I really liked this video interview with my big brother done when his business was nominated as a finalist in the UK's best call centre awards:

I'd think time is ripe for a real Entrepreneur Channel on cable. Is there such a thing? Another good series of videos are Everyday Edisons, I believe they are all on line as well.

Do any of you wealthy, seasoned entrepreneur use the techniques taught in books like "the art of war", Robert Green's "the 48 laws of Power" and NiccolÃ² Machiavelli's "The price" ?

I have personally used some of the techniques here and there, but my general principle in life is to be honest and true. I feel like those books teach you how to be... fake, for lack of a better word.

Is big business really cut throat or can you make it being smart (of course I don't trust anyone) and not playing all these mind games ?

While I enjoy readin Machiavelli's "Princip" as well as Robert Greenes' 48 laws of power, it is until recently that I started viewing both books as work of fiction. Mainly by reading MJ's millionaire fastlane . Neither Robert Greene nor Machiavelli were powerful people, and I wouldn't listen to a fat person teaching me fitness.

I must admit I've used a lot of stuff taught in the 48 laws of power, with these as my favourites:

Conceal your intentions
Always say less than necessary
Get others to do the work for you, but always take the credit
Win through actions, never through argument
Avoid the unhappy and unlucky
When asking for help, appeal to peoples' self interest, never to their mercy or gratitude
Cultivate an air of unpredictability
Concentrate your forces
Discover each mans' corkscrew
Be royal in your fashion
Never appear perfect

and the one I admire the most

- Use absence to increase respect and honor
in the book they use the tale of Deioces; a respected judge who withdrew from public life, it was only after terminating his services that the people realized how much he was needed. In the end, they made him king.
