Twin Cities MN Meetup

Lot's of Minnesotan's in here, not many cashing in on the karma train.

I propose a meetup for Minnesotans (and western Wisconsiners, or whoever wants to drive) on March 29th. Not sure what venue works best. We can have a couple of suggestions and just pick 1.

All attendees should be prepared to give a <3 minute intro:
Name
Path (what are you doing)
Biggest failure

After all that is out of the way, we won't be afraid to openly discuss stuff. Thoughts?

Maybe. I will watch to see how this develops, and if possible may attend. Something in the back of my mind is telling me I have a conflict on that date, but not sure.

Going to be hard to select from my largest failures (most of which are public...)

I think we should reschedule if Vigilante has a conflict. It sure would be great to have him there.

Mystic Lake is pretty close to me. My kid plays hockey over there a lot against Prior Lake. Let me know if I can help set things up at all.

David, thanks for the ping. I'm in! The only question is I might be at Ad tech in SF (March 26-27th.). I saw Zen just posted it in the Guppy thread. As soon as I get those plans finalized I'll let you guys know for sure.

I don't have time to go through a phone chain right now. I sent them an email, if I don't hear back by monday I'll call.

FYI they have live music saturday evenings...which would interfere with our quiet scheming.

Good point.

They have no special accommodations for groups, so we can just show up and do our thing. I've never done a meet up so I am unsure if there is a time that anyone prefers.

Could I recommend starting a little earlier? Say 3 or 4? That way we can talk (and more importantly, listen) before the crowd hits and it gets really loud. Of course if things start getting good, it will also give us more time to party before they kick us out at closing time!

FYI, if you google Mystic Lake it shows it being located in the Mall of America. This is false.
