What do these people need? What do these people buy?

My eyes are now open when I go into a store. There is a reason why the products are there. Study them. Learn from them.

Product doesn't freaking matter. The desire for a product that fulfills the needs better is what matters.

I'd also like to note the power of compounding interest on population.

A tremendous change occurred with the industrial revolution: whereas it had taken all of human history until around 1800 for world population to reach one billion, the second billion was achieved in only 130 years (1930), the third billion in less than 30 years (1959), the fourth billion in 15 years (1974), and the fifth billion in only 13 years (1987).

The population compounding is a scary thought. Will we be able to keep up as we consume more and, our numbers expand? Back to the main topic though the average consumer doesn't see this but with 300 mill in the U.S. alone as long as people are getting paychecks they are going to be spending. I saw a truck advertising emu oil one day and, to a 13 year old boy I thought it was the craziest thing I have ever seen. When you look at it from a different perspective though there may be tons of people that want emu oil. I never searched out the market but, its probably there for the right people.
