Hey everyone.

I have a marketing agency.
So do I need to sign contracts?

I get that it's good later on when I'm dealing with big companies. But now when I'm dealing with small-medium busineses?

What are your thoughts?

What's the size of client got to do with anything?

You speak to a potential customer and verbally agree what's what and even in a dead simple form you can email and write 'I will do xyz by dd/mm/yy for £123' hit reply to accept this.

That's literally all my broadband provider emailed me earlier this week.

'Do you want to sign up for another 12 months of broadband at £31pm?' Just reply to this email to accept.

Literally that was the entire email.

Job done.

No future arguing about what I am and am not getting and from when to when.

Most of my connections doing the same thing don't do contracts, but I assume it's because they are very small.

What's the size of client got to do with anything?
Smaller ones are more friendly while the bigger companies are more professional.

You speak to a potential customer and verbally agree what's what and even in a dead simple form you can email and write 'I will do xyz by dd/mm/yy for £123' hit reply to accept this.
I see, thanks.

Now when I start I won't sign contracts, but when I scale and start taking on bigger and mor professional companies I will.

Ok I didn't spot that you are 15 so well done on that front :)

However I would still just send a one liner that someone can reply to so you have a written copy of what was verbally agreed.

Let's say you are going to build me a 5 page website and charge £123 for it.

Just email me that so at least I can't argue with you that you said you were going to give me a 7 page website and logo thrown in with the £123 and not pay you until you have done so.
