KnownHost is down!

Anyone here have hosting with KnownHost?

Not only is everyone's sites down that has hosting from their Texas data center (seems their California data center is okay), but the damn KnownHost.com website is down too!

I don't know too much about the cause of why this stuff happens, so I can only guess (maybe DDoS??), but I sure hope they get back online ASAP and our sites are okay!

Damnit man!

You know, after posting this, I wouldn't at all be surprised to see a HostGator or RackSpace ad pop up, LOL.

I was surprised that there is no generator back up...no redundant systems. So, their guarantee is just a paper guarantee. In our 11 years with various hosts - we have never, ever had this kind of downtime. It really is unacceptable in this day and age to have this much downtime. We have to dump Knownhost. I finally got through to their sales desk (after getting voice mail during business hours for sales) They found the problem over 3 hours ago. it is isn't fixed???

any ideas on a good host that really has back up and redundant systems?

Hey, thanks for asking; they got it resolved around 9pm. Apparently it affected the entire datacenter where they're located, so it wasn't just a KnownHost issue. It's good to be back.
