As an entrepreneur, speed is key. So when you're testing out ideas, on average how long would it take to test an idea?

Find people you already know who could be interested in the solution, call/text/visit them and ask to pay for it now. Tell them when you will be able to deliver it to them and don't forget to mention that if something will be wrong you'll be happy to refund them.

Get at least 3 people to pay you. Don't spend more than a couple days. If you can't get people to pay you now, then maybe the solution is not as good as you imagine it to be and the best part is that you will spend $0 and only a couple days in case no one sends you money.

Most importantly, don't simply take no as a no, use it as an opportunity to find out why they said no, ask questions to find out why they said no, and how should the solution be created instead for them to say yes. This can potentially open up new problems or solutions that you will be able to solve later on.

It can be broken down into money and time.

Money depends on your overall budget.

Time I personally think maximum three months if not the opportunity cost is too high.

A good idea should be self-evident.

It depends how long it takes for you to make small changes , and get the samples. i would say 4 months.

From manufacture to your hands that TIME , is gonna be the longest , but its also not wasted at all. you can build your website , and plan your marketing in that time

From your hands , you need to get random strangers to test it , it cannot be your friends or family because theyll give fake reviews , as they are programmed to not really be able to hurt your feelings.

that should take 1 week , and after you have confirmed it fully , you got your USP , then you are ready to do a bulk order , in the manufacture MOQ and testing it out.

I REGRET not testing enough. my dumbass thought SPEED is key , so i sort of rushed the packaging , and product quality.

I really reccomend you buy from all your major competitors. i know the ego makes it hard, but you can find flaws , or find good quality when you do so ,

and if it will take an extra month for you to get that perfect packaging you want because you think it will improve customer experiance , please do as it will be worth it in the end. as long as you are always working towards the goal , and its not a "ill do it tommorow" , you are GOOD

Now i have over $5,000 of products , that i need to clean asap , because i found out my competitors products have better quality than i do , and i cant stomach doing marketing on a product as "luxury". and the quality isnt THE BEST. so dont worry at this stage , take your time , do your planning , and do thsi RIGHT , for your product , and the customer immersion experiance (CIE)
