If you go down to the post office, they keep these things behind the counter.
Called postal clerks.
Ask one of them and they should be able to answer your questions.
All kidding aside, you will have to pay more than a stamp I think, because they have rules for stuff that cant go through the sorting machines (letters with stuff in it - even a paperclip)
You can get little bubble mailers and ship them - it will bring it down to a couple bucks.
