OK guys the rosters are filled, however if you still want to play there is a chance if any manager doesn't pay. Right now, only 1/2 the league has paid so there's still a good chance opps might come into play.

If not you should give it a shot. It's hella fun!

Personally I love auctions for the tactics and the way you have to be prepared to assign a value to each player and stick to it. It's hard to walk away when the price gets too high on someone you really want but that's the difference between a good drafter and those who will spend 50% of their budget on one guy.

Unfortunately if not set up right they can take ages to draft in. One league I played in last year the draft went for 9 hours.

My reinstated team doesn't come complete with a Gold Trophy for being the defending champ so I'll have to win it back this year

I agree! I love the flexibility you get in an auction draft as opposed to standard. And it's funny when you try to drive up the price of a player to try and deplet someone else's budget only to have it backfire on you. Found out you guys go the standard route so it is what it is. Looking forward to competing with you all!

Just over a week to the draft, MJ frantically working the phones to trade up to 1st overall pick so he can draft Toby Gerhart again.

Looks like a tough year to choose a 1st overall pick too. Could make a case for 5-10 different guys.

At least wasting a first round pick on TRich would qualify you to be General Manager of the Browns and Colts.

I'm wary of your drafting though. Last year Peterson was widely ranked 1st overall, somehow dropped to you at pick 7 or 8 and you passed for a Tight End. That seemed crazy until the NFL found out about his "whooping" habit a week later. You must have some source at TMZ or something.

If you pass on Gronk in the first round I'll assume you have secret knowledge of him being injured in a bedroom ceiling mirror related accident.

I've always thought Peterson was overrated. I won't pick him this year either.

In other news, my first round draft strategy is now in turmoil with the release of TRich. Oh well, there's always Peyton Hillis.

I've always thought Peterson was overrated. I won't pick him this year either.

Risky to say that. I'll pick him if he falls to a certain point. There are guys rated in the 1st-2nd round I'll generally avoid but happily to take in the 25-30 pick range.

Are we getting a draft order before the day or the default random 30 minutes before draft thing? I see we have draft pick trades turned off.

Last pick, I can deal with that. Huge Carrot, I would have won easily if only I had played Ryan Tannehill instead of Alex Smith. I have been kicking myself all year for that mistake. With 14 teams, this should be a lot of fun, as last year was my first year playing Fantasy Football.
