I know this is a high stress type of lifestyle. What do you do fitness wise either to destress or just to stay fit? Crossfit, cardio, weights, yoga? Whats your regimen. I'm starting to really train hard and seeing the benefits again. Just wondering if the workout impacts your mentality towards business .

Ever since I've picked up Krav Maga it gives me a ton of energy while helping me burst frustration and de-stressing on the bag. Krav Maga is personal defense by the way so it's a bit of a mixed martial arts, I punch, I kick, I fight...intense enough for me. I recommend yoga or actively stretching along with that. Fixes my mood enough so I can push through other things.

You won't believe how Tony used this 1 weird trick to maximize gains and decrease time in the gym - Personal Trainers HATE him!

Joking aside...High Intensity Interval Training is amazing for this type of lifestyle.
  • 10-15 min a day
  • Better results physically and mentally, than the average 30min - 1hr workout
  • Great destresser too (workout high)

Sports, outdoor recreation, and good ol' hard work. I play on soccer teams all year long, softball spring-fall, flag football in the fall, some friends and I might join a curling league (not that exercise intensive though), mountain biking, skiing. I think sports are great for exercise but also socializing and being competitive which can help off load stress and frustration. Also just get out and start working; if you have a house or yard, go plant something, take down a tree, build a fire pit, chop some wood, landscape your lawn. There are always things to do around your house or family/friends houses.

A lot of people have the mindset that going to the gym and lifting weights is the only way to be fit. But having an active lifestyle (what crossfit gyms are mimicking) is a great way to be fit and improve overall quality of life. I always tell my wife that Life is my Gym, she just laughs at me.

I workout 2-3 times a week doing full body workouts. Something based off of Ketogains 5x5, minus the cardio and some moves changed due to back/knee issues.

I recently started doing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu as well, but really suck at it. Gets ya drenched in sweat rolling around for three 5-minute grappling matches when all you can do is defend yourself from getting snapped or choked.

I vary from weight lifting at LA fitness in the mornings and running at the evenings.. Also soccer on the weekends is my best outlet, nothing more exhilarating than scoring a goal and screaming like a mad man
