First, thanks a lot @MJ DeMarco for the TMF Fastlane, it’s a great book and eye opener. I also appreciate the opportunity to be here and will read the other books as well.

I’m Michalis, 19 and don’t mind being called Mike. Ever since I was a child, I always wanted to have my own business and at the time was already dreaming of having my own successful YouTube channel. I was already making videos back in 2015 hoping to make it. I loved the fact that I could build my own online business at the age of 12, all while being at home and using free time. It was and still is fascinating how many opportunities young people have in this current age! YouTube didn’t work out, at least in the way I hoped but I kept on making videos for 6 years though because it was something that I loved and never gave up on. In the end I did make some money, not a life changing amount but the lessons learned were life changing. They taught me many things and improved me overall. I become a lot more mature as I went through the journey of failure and success and after all I loved the experience and would do it again. Through the years I picked up and tried many ways of making money, started a couple of websites, streamed games, invested into stocks and read about other’s people success and tried to pick out good things to implement in my life.

I used to do a lot of YouTube videos that were gaming and had no need and once decided to make some tutorials on something I struggled, and it got views. I thought ha, maybe I should focus on that and now my channel is based on tutorials. Even though I didn’t know CENTS back then I kind of got the hang of it and still use it on that channel. The only issue is that I MUST find a problem that isn’t solved and see if others have solved it or not so that means I don’t get many ideas for content and YouTube doesn’t really pay that much either. As some quote said, I can’t be doing the same thing over and over and expect to get a different result, so I branched out elsewhere.

My mistake was that I had Golden Object Syndrome which meant that I kept on looking for all these ‘’how to make $100 a day’’ ‘’best websites to make $2000 a month’’. I was reading, analyzing, trying from forums to YouTube to blogs and I will admit some of them do work but you must be able to find your value proposition and be unique. A couple of them worked for me but it wasn’t big money, in fact less than $1000.

When I was younger, I used to read a lot (Thanks Mum!) and when I grew older I kept that habit so I kept on reading every so often. I bought a couple of books related to finance and business and then a year later my mum got me a book about money that was more related to mindset and law of attraction etc. I was skeptical of it being a scam but I still read it and it was good. One thing after another I bought more books and got TMF and It changed how I think and look at business ideas. I have been trying to get somewhere for the past 6 years and this will help me a lot, it already did!

Anyway, as of right now I’m working, and I still do YouTube a little bit as well as I have a Print on Demand online store that gives a little bit of money. I also invest into stocks (US and UK markets for now), crypto and NFTs. I’m also working on progressing my online ideas that try to follow all principles of CENTS. For now all I really want is to be financially independent, basically be able to quit my job and help my family and get my own place.

I'm here because being in a mastermind group is important in my opinion and this is a great place to contribute ideas, information and other things as well as learn from others and motivate each other!

Great intro and great to have ya. Sounds like the beginning of a process, habitual activity leads to many things, even when those things don’t start as CENTSable.

Welcome @tactfully ,

Thanks for your detailed intro. Like MJ pointed out above, it sounds like you're off to a great start.
I would've loved to be where you are when I was 19.

During your years of making videos for YouTube, I'm assuming you learned a bit when it comes to video editing?
I don't know whether selling that as a service is relevant to your situation right now - but keep in mind that it's a potentially valuable specialised skill to sell if you need to raise some cash while working on other projects.

You mentioned that you want to get your own place, personally I think that's a fantastic short term goal. Depending on your home environment, getting your own place can be really helpful for getting into a more mature mindset and growing as a person - it sure was for me anyway.

Looking forward to seeing what you choose to do next.
Wishing you the best of luck!

Thanks for the comment. I did do video editing with Sony Vegas and Movie Studio but it wasn't anything super difficult or crazy because when I switched to tutorials it was mostly about providing solution without much talking or effects. I am good at designing thumbnails and I enjoy doing it. I created 3,4? gigs on Fiverr specializing in a separate game on each one but I didn't get any orders but I got like 200+ impressions on one of them. I will think about it but anyway I have a job that can provide me income for projects.

I agree 100% what you said about your own place and thanks, best of luck to you too!!
