For those of you who have the money & time to do whatever you want, what have your best life experiences been?

I took my wife & kids on a two week trip to London, Paris, & Rome earlier this year - that was pretty phenomenal.

On the beach with my wife and kids (literally anywhere).

I'd trade all the experiences in the world for a good book, nice beach, and the sound of my kid's laughing on the beach.

If we're talking most memorable, I'd say my trip to Cancun during American spring break. That took a few years off my life...and I wouldn't change a thing about it. Highly not recommended for most people though.

I'm more of a "state of being" versus an "experience" guy. Experiences are fleeting. I much rather have a state of being.

For me that's living in a beautiful house in a beautiful city. That existence is not fleeting so it will always be my priority.

As for experiences, I enjoy anything out in nature assuming I'm still in relative comfort. It's part of the reason why I bought a off-road vehicle which can put me into the heart of nature. Who knows, I might even enjoy "glamping."

Such other experiences would be an Alaskan cruise, a train ride in the Canadian wilderness, and an up close encounter with sea life in Belize.

nice beach, and the sound of my kid's laughing on the beach.

For some reason the imagery and soundscape of this conjures regret for me. I think it's because I've seen a few movies where some elderly character is reminiscing about his kids at the beach when they were young, and now it's all gone... so I can see this being a reflective experience while you're in it.
