Recently I read a book called Unleashing the Ideavirus by Seth Godin. I found this quite interesting.

Ideavirus is basically word of mouth 2.0, it is the idea that can be easily spread through the customers. The focus is on the product rather than placing ads. A lot more effective than conventional marketing. I started my ecommerce business for a while but struggle to get any traction, then I came across this book. Right now I am trying to think of an idea that can be used on my product. I can see the value of Ideavirus if I have done this right.

Has anyone come across the term Ideavirus and use it? It would be helpful if anyone can share some experience.

Never, but it sounds like product-led growth from what I can tell. What do you sell?
