Hi guys!
My name is Bar, Yes- Bar, and not cause my parents were alcoholics ;)
As a busy entrepreneur, I've struggled a lot with health issues due to a very busy schedule,
lack of knowledge, and poor motivation.
I've found so much information online,
but it was too broad, too many ways and method and I became overwhelmed quickly and couldn't figure it out.

I am about to start my own business as an online consulting coach for losing weight and fitness,
at the moment I'm doing research in order to discover how can I make an entrepreneur's life easier and happier.

I want to help busy professionals and entrepreneurs to lose weight and get their dream body without counting calories,
spending hours in the gym, and give up their favorite food.

Which is why I have two very simple questions that I'll be glad if you can help me with:

1.What are the two biggest challenges you face in terms of losing weight?

2.Regarding health and weight, what would you wish for more than anything else?

I am not promoting or selling anything only recommendations and constructive feedback.

Thanks so much in advance Looking forward to reading your answers.

(BTW Im not sure about the shirtless photo, but I just wanted to show off a little bit about my body transformation.)

Nice transformation!

I've struggled with this for years. And now I probably look like you did before. (middle photo)

My main issue was nutrition. I never knew what to eat and when and always thought cardio was the best way to lose weight.

Recently I've joined an online coaching program (2 weeks ago only) and I'm eating better and foods I like and doing more weights than cardio. I can already feel the difference.

First of all, thank you for your response and answer,
I can really identify with you about the cardio thing, I've spent like million hours running before I understood it mostly about nutrition and good eating habits.
I wish you lots of luck in your new program and Im here if you need some advices!
GG :)

Well I hope you are here to share your journey, both past and present rather than just to use this forum for market research. If the former, then I welcome you.

Sedentary life spent mostly tied to a desk for long hours and owning a pizzeria were my two greatest obstacles. The biggest enlightenment to weight loss for me was intermittent fasting. Then, after finding that very easy to achieve, moving swiftly on to OMAD. That combined with exercise made weight loss extremely easy.

There are some useful threads on these subjects here you might like to look into where others share more on the information you seek.

Hi, Im so grateful for finding this forum, for sure I'm going to stay, the company of successful people is really important for me.
Just a question about your reply, your challenge was the sitting and the responsibility that you had in your business? the tight schedule or the fact that you had to smell and eat pizza too often?

Welcome to the forum bro. I never had any challenges with losing weight (only needed to bulk up throughout my journey) but I would say when I had to cut, I was struggling with eating enough protein while maintaining low calories.

That's the only challenge I've had. (I also wanted to go that route of online fitness coaching but decided not to eventually. I wish you the best of luck!)

Stress.

I’ve been on the keto diet and it has helped tremendously, but I have finally figured out that my weight issues are directly related to stress.

Lost 50 lbs last year and then stalled this year. Why? Stress of the world, a toxic job, declining mental health.

In the two weeks after my firing, where I was relaxed and composed, I lost nearly 4 lbs. Two weeks following that, where I was stressed and angry, I gained 2 and then stalled.

Food plays a part, like this binge week I am having, but for me, the brain is what is really related to my weight.

1.What are the two biggest challenges you face in terms of losing weight?
Mental health. I'm aware that when i eat junk i'm not even hungry as such, it's an act of self-harm as I'm unhappy with my life and my general progress. I'm literally punishing myself. Other than that, having healthy food already made and it being easy to quickly cook to eat.
2.Regarding health and weight, what would you wish for more than anything else?

The world to promote a realistic and healthy body image for men. Too many steroid-using `natty` celebs/models or airbrushed magazine covers. Having a dad bod is actually normal. But you compare yourself to others, realise you'll never compete, then take yourself out of the game.

Thank you so much for your honest answer.
I can really identify with you regarding sabotage myself ..
And I'm glad you understood the root of the problem - a lack of love for yourself.
What is your situation at the moment, are you still having trouble with this issue?
There are some things I can recommend you to do, things that have really helped me solve these problems with myself and feel satisfaction and happiness in my life.

Hi,
I had to deal withthe weight issue often in my life.
I had 87 kg very long times. Always done sports.
When I had to pause sports, I raised weight up to 110 kg in 3 weeks Several times.
The reasons were stress Or injuries.

what I have learned:
ther is no shortcut, but with the promise of shortcuts there are earned billions.

Coming from 110 kg to 87 again was impossible for my with any dietary. I have tried about 8 ways.

Riding offroad motorcycles 2 hours a week I can allways hold my weight.

Coming from 110 kg to 87 kg I need about 3 months.
Running2-3 times a week 40 min.

Climbing 2 times a week Additionally shortens that time to about 2 months. AND makes a good body.

Maybe for a younger man the times can be shorter.

But again: there is no shortcut. Like at the fastline. Thats the reason, why imo every fastliner knows the path to weight loss!

Please try to focus your answer to the questions listed above, what are the two biggest challenges you have had and detail them as much as possible.

Hi mate,

Really great transformation.

But before I get into the weight loss/getting into shape part I have to say I love that you're not only making it around fitness and more so around happiness. I myself are in the process of a transformation I'd say. I wasn't fat, but I haven't had a lot of muscles. And in my case, it was more about getting happy and getting the habit of going to the gym.

For happiness I can recommend the following:
Course by Yale University about the science of Well-Being. The best thing I did to push my happiness to the next level:

Additionally, some books helped me a lot. Like "Happiness: The Science Behind Your Smile" had a big impact on my life.

For your business, I think it's really important to categories your costumer into different groups. (for example)
  • Wants to get in shape really bad and is motivated to do everything in there power to get there. And is able to put in the time and money.
  • Wants to get to a certain goal, but doesn't have much time and for example, is willing to go to the gym 3 days/week.
  • Wants to get in shape but hates the gym and thinks that eating less is the way to go.
  • etc.
I may have overdone it a little with sports and eating in my life. Now I go 6 times/week to the gym and to cardio 7 times/week. That seems like a lot but the cardio is mostly only a short run in the morning around 4:25 am and the gym is in the evening instead of watching Netflix or some TV. I believe the term "I don't have time to get into shape" is the single biggest lie ever told.
Since I live this lifestyle I need one hour less sleep feel better through the day, work more efficiently, and can manage my emotions better. I'd say sport is the best thing in my life and I couldn't imaging living without it.

If you need any help just shot me a pm.
Cheers, and good luck with your company.

Oh sorry forgot to answer your questions. :)

1.What are the two biggest challenges you face in terms of losing weight?
- Motivating myself
- Giving up to early
- Not knowing enough

2.Regarding health and weight, what would you wish for more than anything else?
- Accountability can be generated through a lot of personal contact between the coach and the customer, so through more contact, the customer gets a better result. Because he doesn't want to let his/her coach down.
- The goal shouldn't be to lose X amount of pounds in the beginning. It should be to create a habit of going to the gym and eating healthy and stop with smoking, etc. After the habit is built which takes around 20-22 days the focus in on creating a lifestyle that usually takes anywhere from 80 to 120 days and after that, the results will come. And with these rather short term goals, it's easy to motivate people.
- Don't focus only on losing weight. Focus on solving every health problem possible. Eating, smoking, alcohol, drugs, everything you can help.

Hope I could help a little. :) Would love to see where you're heading. Please keep us updated.
