Hello everyone !
I am conducting market research on whether a Digital Marketing Agency specifically targeting TECH STARTUPS can be established in the US market. I have two questions:
1)Are there demands and needs from the owners of Tech Startups in the US for this type of services ?
2)Do Tech Startups in the United States have the necessary budget for this type of services ?
I would kindly appreciate your answers to these questions, especially from directly from owners of Tech Startups, so that I can also better understand their needs and requirements.
Thank you all !

Tech startups are literarily the best performing market for agencies. I’ve worked with over 1,000 agencies so far in one form or another — 100+ bought my growth service this year alone. And even now 7/10 of my best performing customers are targeting tech startups.

They’re a really wealthy market, big ticket projects, if you know how to sell them. But your service needs to be impeccable and you need to be a professional, not a hustler.

Your issue isn’t “understanding their needs”. Your issue is how do I learn to communicate like a real pro, so these people are willing to listen to me? And how do I make my service so good that I know they’re getting a ton of value? You need to start building your credibility, this market doesn’t work with losers.

Understood, it certainly sounds like a very competitive market from what you told me.

Is there any strategy or consideration one should keep in mind to avoid getting crushed by the competition ?

You mentioned that you have to communicate like a true professional. How can one communicate in this way ?

First you need to do great work at smaller levels. I’d start by picking projects off Upwork and delivering results.

Second you need to experience how people communicate at this level. Freelancing for another agency that’s bigger than you can help to learn and understand their processes so that you can build your own.

Install better systems into your agency for everything, from taking payments to gathering case studies to selling, etc. The beginning is always the hardest.
