Welcome @copyabe and thanks for wanting to add value on your very first post.

It's nice to have another seasoned copywriter on board. We have some outstanding ones here including @Lex DeVille and @Bekit.

Look forward to your contributions.

Wow. Great Offer.

Why does no one talk about Ubuntu?

I'm perplexed at the disillusioned masses. Whom are preferring the authoritative alternatives. And hesitant to embrace a superior proven alternative.

Ubuntu is certainly Complete

You should be astonished at how Complete Ubuntu comes.

It has everything you need to run your organisation, school, home or enterprise.

You will be delighted at all the effective and productive applications. Like an office suite, browsers, email and media apps that come pre-installed for you.

Ubuntu on the principle of Guaranteed Freedom. While other suppliers consider tinkering to be shameful, scandalous or wicked. . .

With Ubuntu tinkering is encouraged. There is no "jail" breaking, but approving of co-operative productive tinkering.

Open Source has been proven as a way to ensure guaranteed freedom.

By making the source open anyone is in empowered to alter it. (Or hire other people to do so on their behalf.) rather than being exasperated and frustrated at being locked in to your vendor's choices. You can make your own!

Ubuntu is Secure,Solid,Stable

Ubuntu is a cut above with it's excellent and effective virus protection software and built in firewall. With Absolutely solid stable upgrade paths through it's five year long term support. That's five years before you have to worry about upgrading!

With a built-in firewall and virus protection software, Ubuntu is one of the most secure operating systems around. And the long-term support releases give you five years of security patches and updates.

The language you're using is too high level. You have to write at a 3rd grade level. This doesn't look like copy, it's more like a product description.

Damn it. I was so pleased to dumb it down to grade 7.

Where can I learn to write at a 3rd grade level?

I added in a bunch of emotional words too.

Well what is copywriting selling if it's not a product?

That's the most disheartening thing I have ever read. I'm questioning my ability to ever write copy.

It's one thing to learn another feather in the arrow. If it is a must have skill and impossible for me to acquire. That's it. I will never manage.
I didn't get the meaning of your post buddy. Did you mean what i wrote is very disheartening? and you question your ability to write copy because of how bad i wrote a single sentence?

yes. I even had to block you to help my mindset.

No. I was already questioning my abilty to write copy.

If it is a must have skill for entrepreneurs. Then I may never be an entrepreneur.

On the other hand if there are successful entrepreneurs who suck at copy. Then I have a chance.

I know plenty of successful entrepreneurs who cant write copy. That said, I believe knowing how to influence people and sell is a great skills for entrepreneurs to have but its not exactly a prerequisite.

Use the Hemingway app, it'll help you with the readability.

It's selling the BENEFIT of the product. You have to speak about your product and how it relates to your audience pain points and desires. Here, you're going on and on about your product and its features and saying nothing about your audience.

This!

To add on to copyabe's point, everytime you state something you believe to be a benefit ask yourself after, "so what?"

Why should your prospect care. They only care about your product if it benefits them.

"Whats in it for me?"

Your copy must answer that question because that is the mindset of your prospect.

Just hire someone to do it for you. You won't have all the skills but you can always get someone who's good at it. What I recommend though is at least learning it to the level that you can recognize a good copywriter from a not so good one.

You have to get to a certain level of fame and credibility to be able to influence people like that. That's branding and it can take a long time to build a brand. For someone who's just starting out, if you don't have the skills to move people with words it can be difficult. That's where direct response copy is essential.

Yes there are successful Entrepreneurs who suck at copy but they hire people to do it for them. Entrepreneurship is not about having all the skills. It's about being good at one thing and getting others who are good at the other things to do them for you.

That sounds hopeful. I've read how to win friends and influence people.

Depressing as hell. I need to learn copywriting to get to the point where I don't need copywriting. I may be unable to do this.

I need a non copywriting method of generating revenue.

If I had hire a copywriter money. I would have just done that in the first place.

If want to hire someone but lack funds you could also propose profit sharing for x-number of months.

Instead of paying them upfront they get a percent of profit, or some other deal, for a length of time.

Some copywriters, especially newer ones, will agree to that.

If you don't know their pain points then you need to find it. Research is the most important part of copy. Plus you don't just create a product because you think it's what people need. You have to know for SURE and you do that by doing your research.

If you don't have money, you have to put in the time and effort. There is no shortcut.

People come into this online thing looking to make a quick buck because someone who wanted to make a quick buck off of them sold them a dream. I'm not saying this is you. But people with that mindset will NEVER succeed.

Yes you ABSOLUTELY can make money, lots of it, but it takes work and consistency. Most people who come with the mindset of making a quick buck can't handle it.

It's not for the weakhearted.

I got hit with the harsh reality when I started 5 years ago. Then I quickly realized that business, first and foremost is about serving.

But you got to get to that level to be able to help people solve problems, it doesn't happen overnight.

Everybody put in their 10,000 hours.

Go out and do your research and find out what people really want, then find a way how you can help them get it.

Then get really good at it, then go after those people and tell them how you can help them get it.

Always approach it from the angle of "How can I help people get what they want?" Not "How can I get what I want?"

Hope this help.

There are two things going against him here, he has...

1. No proof of concept. (Testimonials, People buying his product)
2. No money.

You have to be honest with people if you want to help them succeed. You can't shortcut this process, even the best copywriter can't help at this point.

He has to do the work.

@LittleWolfie something Id like to point out...

Good copy isnt everything. If you have a great offer and target the right people, you can still make sales even with bad copy.

Don't get discouraged because you aren't currently a good copywriter.

Exactly, but the point is you can't make a great offer if you don't even know what your prospects problems and pain points are.

That's why I said, do your research first before anything else.

All I hear are excuses. The Internet is at your fingertips, and you can literally learn anything.

Fixed mindset --> growth mindset

You're losing because your mind convinced you you've lost before you've even gone into battle.

Aw, don’t be so down!

check out Michael Masterson’s Ready, Fire, Aim.

It has a section for business owners who aren’t copywriting experts, but has a crash course on writing ad hoc copy, as well as what to look for in the work of copywriters you hire (to know if it’s legit or not)

Basically, even if you aren’t writing the copy as a business owner, you still need to know and communicate your benefits, objection killers (bulletpoints), offer.

It’s closely linked to the Commandment of Need.

The copywriter you hire can offer some research input or angles, but you’d have to have a stronger say in the matter, since it’s your business.

To cut down your words and help with the edits, you can use Microsoft Word metrics as a benchmark.

AND THAT IS HOW IT'S DONE. GIVE FIRST.

I was on a popular Internet Marketing forum once and just out the blue decided to ask in a post if anyone needed help with a unique Domain name if they just give me the niche. People were wondering what was in it for me but some people like doing crossword puzzles and I love coming up with unique .Coms.

After I gave a few available .com suggestions even the doubters gave me a high 5. And I just did this as a personal challenge seriously.

But later I began to get Private messages of people asking me for help with domain names and long story short I made $1000 helping people find domain names and I was sending them multiple available suggestions so I know they were thrilled and I got my thrill of the challenge everybody won.

But I share this just to say it is good karma to offer your skills freely from time to time. High 5.

Why are you STILL putting up with Windows when a superior alternative is just ONE click away?

If you’re anything like me, you have grown tired of bloated, resource-intensive, and inefficient systems.

You’re frustrated by the never-ending stream of Windows Updates that always pop up at the most unfortunate moments.

About to start a video call with an important client but the feed is all blurry!? That might be Windows downloading updates…

Need to head into town to run some errands quickly before picking up the kids? Sure thing, just shut down the laptop and away you g… why is it updating NOW!?

And Windows Update is just one of the many issues.

Just bought a new podcasting mic that you can’t wait to try out? Say goodbye to a productive afternoon with all the driver troubleshooting you’ll be doing.

This was me just 6 months ago.

I was at a point where I was dreading every interaction that relied more or less completely on Windows. I tried testing everything beforehand, just to make sure I wasn’t met with any unexpected surprises. I Googled. I asked friends who worked in IT…

But no matter what I did, Windows found a way to ruin my day, despite my best efforts to shield myself from it.

And so I did what I should’ve done years ago:
I googled “Windows alternatives”, found Ubuntu, and installed it right away…

…And I was stunned by how everything in this system just works.

I plugged in my Blue Yeti microphone, an essential tool I use daily that I cannot afford to malfunction. It worked immediately.

Then followed the installation of Skype and other minor applications I needed. No problems whatsoever.

This was 6 months ago. Ever since that I haven’t had a single technical issue with Ubuntu.

I can’t even imagine the hours or days of frustration I’ve saved just by switching to Linux.

If you still need further convincing why you should do the switch, here’s 3 additional benefits you get by switching to Ubuntu:

Benefit #1: Say goodbye to virus- and ransomware threats

Most malware is designed to hit as many computers as possible. In other words, they are designed around the most used system, Windows. You can rest easy when the next bout of ransomware is bothering clients and co-workers, knowing that your system is extremely unlikely to get infected.

Benefit #2: Long-term support making sure you stay updated for the next 5 years, for free!

In other words, you’ll have 5 years before you even need to consider updating your system.

Benefit #3: Unrivalled stability!

Most servers and important systems are linux-based. Some of them have an “uptime” (time without the system being turned off) of more than a year.
Forgot to shut down your Ubuntu computer at work yesterday? No problem whatsoever.
Do the same with Windows? …It’ll probably still work. Maybe.

Stop wasting time, money, and your own sanity by installing the latest version of Ubuntu now!
