I am a retail commercial real estate broker and developer, with Collett Retail in Dallas, TX. For the past 17 years, I have been a licensed Texas real estate broker earning commissions on retail leasing, tenant representation and commercial sales. In 2015 the company I was with was bought out by CBRE. I stayed on and pursued investment sales for 2.5 years, then had a sharp break with the company over some issues with a colleague who had acted unethically and unprofessionally. I joined Collett two years ago to expand my reach into development along with brokerage, and found myself rebuilding a pipeline from scratch in my mid-40's.
Over the years, I have struggled with high income but low savings - living the spending and debt cycle. I have always aspired to start and grow my own company, but have never been able to save enough to make the break.
The books have been a wake-up call and I am on a new path to the Fastlane. My nascent company is Sigma Value Partners, Multifamily + Retail Investments, and you will be hearing more about it on the Forum.
