wondering if I should start learning the CSS behind wordpress?

has anyone here picked it up relatively easily?

I feel like thats where all of the development action is with Wordpress anyway.

You can play around with CSS by using the Firebug plugin for Firefox.

Load any site, and you can change colors, widths, font size, and more. I'm not an expert at CSS, but Firebug (free) has helped me learn how to make modifications in it.

Yes, knowing some CSS comes in handy if you run websites.

It's easy to pickup on basic stuff, as it's just a set of rules, not a programming language.

You also need to be aware of cross browser differences, not all browsers have the same support, or same understanding of your css code. Special attention needs to go to IE.

I feel like thats where all of the development action is with Wordpress anyway.

Not really. CSS only determines how your website will look, has nothing to do with development.

yeah, that is what I would be paying a dev for anyway, maybe try and solve some of my own issues. Will try firebug.

I just got Dynamic/Catalyst with the Johnson package and even though it's nice as is, I have seen how a little css know how-can make things even better. Go for it.
