The U.K
-They have a vision, they can see every angle, every detail and every obstacle
-They create regular goals and storyboards which when executed -take them closer to that vision as times passes
-They see every roadblock to that vision (and how to overcome it)
-They give themselves a deadline
-They hire the best people to implement and execute that vision for them
-They strive to create something of amazing value
-They must raise a lot of capital from a number of investors
-They make a lot of money (the good ones)

And most importantly, they want it bad enough, so when things go bad, they do what it takes. The director of the Godfather almost got fired many many times during that film. Passion is everything!

Tarantino once said to a friend that he would struggle to make a film because he didn't understand the facets like the lighting, editing etc.
He replied: that isn't your role. your job is to hire the editor, the cinematographer, etc and make them do it. After he heard that, he said a veil was taken off and he finally understood the art of movie making.

Just a very interesting analogy between a business owner and a movie director. The aren't much different.I think we, as fastlaners can take a lot from film producers and directors.

Its no coincidence business owners are often called directors too....

Good analogy, except this:
-They see every roadblock to that vision (and how to overcome it)
Anyone would need many years of experience to get even close to that in any field. And even experienced directors are sometimes screwed over hard by unexpected coincidences.
If you're an entrepreneur, you'd better not see all the roadblocks in advance, because it'll seem hopeless. Many successful entrepreneurs say that if they'd known about the obstacles in advance, they'd never have tried in the first place.
