Sometimes it's better to listen to others than yourself

Sometimes, you have to listen to that internal voice, but you have to screw it often too. Example :

Typical sidewalker : "I want to make a lot of money but I don't know how, they say I should start a business doing what you love. Ah, F*ck it, I'm gonna buy a lottery ticket and win some day. I'm not an entrepreneur, it's just not for me."

Successful fastlaner : "Success is all about taking action. Find a problem and solve it better than your competitors."

Let's say I'm the sidewalker above who doesn't take action and think he's gonna win the lottery. "This time, I'm gonna win, it's different." Lol. Laughable.

Obviously, in this case it would be better to ignore my thoughts and listen to what to other successful people have to say.

Just my thoughts.

The hardest part of screwing the inner voice is when it tells you to quit a job with no real solid plan...they always say the gut is right, but I can't tell if it's stupidity like when you want a sports car you can't afford or logic saying you will make it no matter what happens.

You're 100% correct I think. However, know what to listen to is extremely tricky. So an alternative would be to sharpen your inner voice and get more clarity. This can be achieved through various methods, such as meditation, going to a psychologist and more.

Mmmm...True..

It's about surrounding yourself with the right people.

People who are positive about life itself.

Life isn't always bright and sunny..

But if you know, deep inside, you're doing the RIGHT thing- you would know..
