Snapchat will be an amazing channel for marketing. Just have to figure out how to have best results yet.

I think it will be great for advertisers. Since users are used to remembering messages a quick reminder of a sale on X at Y will get placed into subconscious, and be there forever.

Plus, it likely won't be as obtrusive as facebook's ad were when they started, because they'll just disappear in a matter of seconds anyway.

Interesting/Brilliant.

You think ad revenue will reach anywhere near $10 billion?

People can ignore the adds by not clicking on them. Or if they are forced to watch the ad to see their friend's snapchat, this will probably push users away.

The information snapchat gets from people sending snapchats is hardly worth anything (so I can't see them selling data).

Am I missing something?

Not really, but didn't people say that a few short years ago about facebook?

Actually, I've never used snapchat, so I should reserve any future comments. My apologies.

No apology needed.

We will see and I will gladly eat my words if things go well.

During my brief stint on snapchat it was all about taking a selfie and drawing a purple beard or mustache.
