Is there anyone on TFF that has been successful on re-purposing content from article directories?

I have a huge database of articles (500k approx) and there are some extremely valuable insights among these articles, but I feel they are wasted and should be re-purposed into ebooks, training courses, audio books and podcasts.

I would like to hear your opinion on this and get in touch with anyone that may have an existing roadmap for this idea.

TIA,
Cavking.

Interesting! CavKing, you mean re-cycling existing content right?
If yes, then repurposing is the key strategy to content marketing. Repurposing will allow you to create more collateral with less research.

We earlier did this:

Assembling several posts into a free eBook or whitepaper
Using the base content as a guest post on another site
Designing a Slideshare presentation based on the content
Narrating those slides, recording it, and posting it as a YouTube video
After a year or so, re-writing the original ideas into a new post
Using the posts as chapter in customer guides

Correct, exactly that.

I feel as though the content I have can be used to create a more useful ebook, physical book, training course, audiobook, etc.

I have huge directory with different categories and would like to look into creating a brand and products under each category.

I think the key is to find the opportunities using keyword/competition research, amazon research etc.

Anyone know of anybody making a living from this?

an existing roadmap
Get an MBA. Come up with a business plan. Tweak the plan several times. Get the largest loan possible, regardless of how much you need to start. Do not start until you have said money. Order business cards to hand out to friends. Build your product.

Or, blaze your own trail.

So seeking a mentor isn't a good plan?

Sounds like it is time for me to piece together all I have been studying and do my due diligence on potential markets.
