Hi everyone. I think this is an appropriate category for this thread, but I apologize if it belongs somewhere else.

Basically, I'm gearing up to launch my first business venture, which involves selling customers a subscription whereby each month they will receive a product. My business will be targeting young, male professionals who are entering the professional world or who haven't been in it for very long.

There is already a service provided by somebody else for women. The service is more-or-less exactly what I have in mind for my own venture.

My question: Would contacting the woman who runs the women's business for some tips & tricks be a good idea? In an article with the co-founder, they stated that they hope to launch a men's service within the next year.

If you had a growing business and someone called you and asked "Hey, can you tell me your secrets? I hear you are expanding in new markets and I'd like to compete with you in those markets." What would you say?

I know what I'd say.... "GET LOST!"
