I'm finishing up the new cover to TMF and on the front cover (top) there is going to be a short testimonial from a reader.

I'm trying to decide WHICH testimonial to include as there are so many.

In your opinion, which one resonates most with you?

Also, if you don't like any of these, feel free to visit the TMF Amazon book page and cherry-pick any of the current reviews.

All I ask is that it is short, powerful, and concise. Space is limited.

Here are some that I am considering.

(1) Someone FINALLY had the balls to tell the truth about ALL the crap out there, and direct us toward a true path to prosperity.

(2) Seriously, you'll learn more in 2 days from this book than you will in 2 years of business college courses, and it's 1/100th of the price!

(3) I'm confident if someone reads this book and implements what MJ teaches, you'll be wealthy.

(4) I can promise you that there is a clarity that comes with reading this book that no other book on the market will ever give you.

(5) The Last Book You Will Ever Buy on Wealth Creation and Business

(6) This book is a wake up call of epic proportions and I think some of those talking head gurus are going to put a price on his head.

(7) This book will open your eyes to how the rich really get rich.

(8) Finally A Business Book That Cuts Through The BS and Actually Delivers Superior Value For A Complete Steal!

Again, visit Amazon.com: The Millionaire Fastlane: Crack the Code to Wealth and Live Rich for a Lifetime. (9780984358106): MJ DeMarco: Books if you think there are better ones available ... there literally are dozens of choices since there are 150+ reviews.

I vote for (2). Sounds like the most "tangible" benefit from the testimonials you listed.

I like 2 and 6...

but I'm secretly pulling for #1 b/c it would be ballsy to say "balls" on the cover of your book. ha.

I like 1 and 6. The others sound like the typical business book / self help guru testimonials - these two say something interesting and make me take a second look.

ACtually, this had some appeal because I know it is risky, and unconventional.

I think number 2 is a bit too long.

Maybe a combination of 1 and 7. Number 1 is great because it catches your attention. How about:

Someone FINALLY had the balls to tell the real truth about ALL the crap out there. MJ will open your eyes to how the rich really get rich.

Maybe a combination of 1 and 7.

I can't manufacture testimonials, I have to use what was provided and can only modify for grammar/readability.

Seems to fit nicely with the your style and tone.

Unfortunately, a book buyer might look at that and say "We can't put that on our shelves" -- not sure if the risk is worth it.

Can you split test a couple of covers with real sales before actually printing?

I personally liked this one better. The first one just sounded like more reality tv shock value crap to me. This one really showed me the value I could get as an action taker.

However, the majority of people like shock value crap so take this with a grain of salt.

There are so many to pick from...!

I like:

"Although the title and cover of the book make you think "infomercial for suckers", it's actually THE single best book I have read on this subject so far (and I've read plenty). I don't typically write reviews on books I purchase here on Amazon, but this one was so good that it compelled me to actually get off my lazy butt and post up a review. "

I'm not talking about individual buyers, but buyers who buy for retail stores, Barnes and Noble, etc.

If my only channel was individuals, I wouldn't mind going with it, however, I have to think corporate on this.

I like #6. Next thing you know all the gurus will be copying your ideas for their next book!

Well maybe not, they need all the Slowlaners to keep buying their books.

Did you rule any of them out? Are there any others you like?

Number 1 is my favorite, but it's too risky and not corporate enough for retail. The question is will you get more sales taking the risk or lose more because it's not corporate.

The others are just okay, but would go with #2 after reading them over a couple of times.

(2) Seriously, you'll learn more in 2 days from this book than you will in 2 years of business college courses, and it's 1/100th of the price!

Why: because it's the only one with numbers in it. But it needs to be shortened:

Learn more from this book in 2 days than in 2 years of MBA courses, for 1/100th of the price!

(I once took an entire college course on how to write with brevity. The most useful course out of an entire MA. Hire me.)

I'm leaning toward 1 and 2...

I could probably edit out BALLS to GUTS and CRAP to JUNK.

(1) Someone FINALLY had the guts to tell the real truth about all the junk out there, and direct us toward a real true path of prosperity.

Don't edit it, thats what makes it great. Sounds like a real person said it and not some quick thing wrote to make the book seem better.

No wholesale book buyer (ppl that buy for bookstores) would ever put TMF on a book store shelf with BALLS and CRAP on the cover. This is an issue. Don't get me wrong; I love it. My book is finally making it into the bookstores and the last thing I need to do is to douse water on the flames by having unprofessional language on the cover.
