Hey Guys,

Just wondering if anyone has any experience using any of the popular landing page builder platforms out there.

I'm trying to determine which one would be the most appropriate for creating a landing page selling a physical product.

As well as which one is most efficient for split testing.

Any help is always appreciated. Thanks!

They can all be split tested. Lead pages and Unbounce are monthly services so you have to factor that into your costs. This is less profit for you.

Optimize Press is a little harder to use and doesn't have built in split test. If you combine it with Optimizely though your'e can split test lots of different stuff. That ways you're paying a 1x fee and keeping your operating costs much lower.

People rave about all of them. I've tried all 3 and I don't like paying monthly fees if I can avoid them. Usually I'll make my decision based off how fast I can implement something and how much ROI it will make me.

Ultimately it comes down to your preference and your skill set. Choice is up to you.

Use OptimizePress + WooCommerce to get started. If your products sells you can always trade up to Unbounce, Optimizely, VWO, etc.

I'd consider finding a landing page template that works for you (wordpress or self-hosted) and then use google experiments to run split tests in Google Analytics.

However, if you don't have a basic knowledge of HTML or wordpress, then this may not be the best option. But if you do, then this is a great option because it's fo' free.

if you're using WP https://wordpress.org/plugins/google-content-experiments/

I've tried leadpages and optimizely in the past....I just didn't see the value in paying for them.

I don't get how anyone can answer without knowing the whole story....

You said physical product, what does it require?
A back-end to take payments and have customer accounts?
Is it just a paypal button for sales?
Collecting emails for the product?
Information only to back up retail sales?
I have used all the above and then some. Unbounce/leadpages are a different thing then Optimizepress albeit they are all landing page builders.

I would say Optimizepress is good for showcasing one single product or service, it's perfect for courses, webinars, ect, but i wouldn't recommend it for ecommerce website.

A bit off-topic but I was wondering if you, guys, know a pop-up marketing software that has a similar decision popup feature to the one of Bounce Exchange but hopefully doesn't cost a fortune. I'm talking about those behavioural "YES/NO" pop-ups that appear once you try to exit a site.

I'm currently using PicReel.com, but it leaves much to be desired.

I had this same problem last year... I went through over half a dozen companies that claimed to have that Yes/No popup/lightbox functionality & none did at the time. I finally ended up having mine custom scripted. Maddening.

You can do this with https://www.optimonk.com, comes with a monthly cost though

I can only speak on LeadPages; however, it is very easy to setup and use. Being able to choose between using your own servers or LeadPages is nice as well and they make this easy. Split testing takes a bit of practice to get it all figured out if you have never done it before, but LeadPages give you a a ton of support content and videos that anyone can figure it out.
