Hey.
Keep it up.
Keep it up, even if you've been chasing that dream of yours for a long time (especially then, actually. If you've been working hard, then you're probably close. Real close.) Keep it up.
If you started a few days or weeks ago, keep your head down. You have lots of work to do. Congratulations on starting. Keep it up.
If you started a few months ago - or years ago - perhaps you have immersed yourself in the attainment of your dream. Perhaps you eat, breathe and sleep this stuff. Perhaps you have insatiable dreams of driving a brand new Bugatti down the downtown streets of your favorite city.
Perhaps, even now, people around you doubt you. Perhaps they believe (and hope?) you will fail. Forget about them. They do not matter. You - and you alone - determine whether or not you will be successful. You have already committed to this journey, right? Then keep it up.
You will be tempted to take it easy at times. Relaxation and sleep are overrated. Money doesn't sleep, remember? So grab an energy shot, a cup of coffee, a stimulating tea - or just do it the old-fashioned way and drop down to do some pushups. Do whatever you have to do to keep planning, making connections, contacting the right people and making the right moves. Keep it up.
At times, you may experience periods of deep, dark self-doubt. Are you really capable of pulling this off? What if your parents, your friends, those you work with - perhaps even your significant other - don't believe you can do this? What should you do? Let me answer it this way. You should kill that voice in your head that makes you second guess yourself. Silence the four-letter words that curse dreams to failure: "can't" and "won't." Remember: This is war. If you won't fight for yourself, no one will. Start speaking to yourself in a positive way. And keep it up.
This is a war, and the sooner you begin acting accordingly, the sooner you will have a fighting chance of winning. And I have some bad news: Basically, it's you against the world. But here's the thing, though. You have to realize who you are. You need to stop being afraid to use your superpowers. They are there for a reason. Use them. Experiment. Attempt to drain "every ounce of the possible" from your abilities. Do this exercise: Close your eyes. Focus on what you want. Focus on how you will get it. Focus on how it will feel when you get it. Take no prisoners. This is war. Set goals. Make sure that they are timed. Clench your fists. Focus. Open your eyes. Ah, don't you see now? You against the world... is actually a fair fight. Keep it up.
Perhaps, now, you work around the clock. Perhaps you are on the brink of hitting it big. Perhaps you are about to strike oil. Perhaps you are about to put your name in Forbes. Perhaps you watched movies like Wall Street, Wall Street II, Boiler Room, Glengary Glenross, and you think... wow... so cool... and, perhaps every fiber of your being at this point is all indomitably focused on the attainment of your dreams.
Perhaps, at this point, you already have all of your contacts lined up. Your ideas are contractually protected. Now, it is only a matter of time before you strike. Take a deep breath. Think deeply about your resources, and how to preserve them. Reflect upon the strategies of war. Understand why entire nations have lost wars. Study King Alexander. Be inspired by Napolean. Lead like Genghis Kahn. And strike - As Sun-Tzu advises - like a thunderbolt!
And keep it up.
