I just saw this thread. Houston is a 5 hour drive for me - I want to try to make the next one!

Texas Fastlaners - Good meetup earlier this month and it was good to meet fellow fastlaners that frequent the forum. The group was made up of those that have been working on their path for some time to those new and encouraged by TFL concept after reading the book and forums. Each shared their "story" where opportunities were kicked around and challenges were brainstormed. I was impressed!
I had to leave after a couple of hours but I'm guessing the conversation continued for some time.

Action items were to join the skype group (see above) and do it again. Consensus on the skype group was to shoot for the first Saturday each month and to help commuters from neighboring cities, shoot for an afternoon time. With that said, let's plan on December 7 at 2PM. How does that sound? I'm thinking that may help the day trippers from Dallas, Austin or San Antonio. It would also allow for us to meet when most meeting places are not crowded and noisy. We can discuss future plans, perhaps rotating the monthly meetups around Texas.

Works for me too. We've been crazy busy this week, and will likely be just as busy next week. The first week of December should be my first chance to settle down a bit. It really was an awesome group, now just need to make sure we keep them going

Wifey had a little accident and crumpled the car pretty good and, after that, an ice storm has us all iced in our homes. I should still make it to the Houston area at the end of this month though. Have fun guys.
