"YOU ARE THE AVERAGE OF THE 5 PEOPLE YOU SPEND THE MOST TIME WITH"
Hey guys. My name is Dat (Pronounced "Who Dat"), and I'm looking to form a small group of motivated individuals who are in the ecommerce business. I've never been a part of a mastermind group before; however, I'm hoping to learn with the members as we go.
The main focuses of this group will be:
1. Discuss and share techniques/ideas to improve each other's businesses.
2. Motivate one another to complete certain tasks/goals each week.
3. Possibly work on future projects together.
4. Build better habits and a positive and hard-working mindset.
I'm hoping to have 5-6 members including myself--primarily individuals who have something started within the last few months or even experienced individuals who are nice enough to mentor this group. Meeting would be every Sunday night to help motivate everyone before the new week starts.
A little about me
I graduated cum laude as a welding engineer at LeTourneau, a private Christian university. While taking a break in the summer before applying for jobs, I started working on a small business that was generating about 17k in sales the third month and totaling 50k in sales for 4 months, starting from nothing. I know it's not much, but I wasn't expecting it to grow at all. Soon, I started working for Kiewit/TIC in the Woodlands at the end of the third month. Most of my time was taken away from my business for the 9-5. You can guess what happened.
My last day at Kiewit/TIC was Christmas. Three main reasons I decided to work for them was to learn the day-to-day business practices of a major company, to meet the condescending boss who would motivate me to quit the 9-5 and start my business venture, and to gain experience with my degree in case business fails. I've already made up my mind that that was my last 9-5 job ever, but it's always good to have a backup plan anyways.
I've already written down certain tasks I must accomplish each month.
My goal this year is to hit $1 million in profits by December 31.
What's your goal for 2016? How are you going about making it happen?
