What's up everyone!

Name is Kevon, you can call me Kev for short if you like. I read The Millionaire Fastlane about a week ago and have been scouring the forums ever since. After reading some posts I decided to make the leap and join officially.

I hail from NYC and I am subsequently a college dropout of sorts (couldn't find a fit in a school, grades are however) though I always felt I had some type of intellect and if I needed to know something Google goes a long way. I think my issue is mindset, not knowing proper execution and having a proper culture of sorts. I learned all of that just from reading some posts on here for a week and I had to join just for that, the posts here are stimulating and it creates a whole different environment when people of a like minded mindset are there to critique you and provide valuable insight..in short this is an amazing resource and I will certainly take it all in to the fullest, while hopefully giving some input of my own.

My goals in life is similar to most of you here when it comes to finances..to be independent enough to do whatever I want for a day. But I also have an innate desire to be of some sort of help to the masses and really provide something genuine, though I dunno what that is. I do know that having the financial foundation would help in that goal however. Otherwise I have a love of cars (working on them) and figuring out how things work by pulling them apart; reverse engineering for those that put a term on it.

If age matters I'm only 21 I turn 22 this year, so please guide me and treat me well. I don't know what my "fastlane", "slowlane" or any lane for that matter will be. Everything is a process and I'm in that process of trying to figure that out. So hopefully a year from now I can look back on this post with new value and some actually progress!

PS: If anyone is from the NYC area and doesn't mind hanging out with a 21 year old (or if your around my age) maybe we can have a meet up and shoot ideas in person. I believe interaction with others bring the best ideas...at the worst just seeing a different mindset doesn't hurt so let me know!

First off, welcome Kevon!

Secondly, count me in for one of the future NYC meetups. I'm from NJ but only about 45 mins away from the city.
