what do you guys think of commercial real estate in NYC ?
im hearing mixed opinions.
do any of you think its worth getting into right now ?

NYC comm RE is beautiful.
if the deal is right, it's worth getting into.

keep in mind, analyzing risk today is much different and requires many different parameters than just only a few years ago

what you got on the table?

Steve, you will have a tough couple of years if you are just getting into the industry.
Once the market turns around, if you prove yourself to be a competent, aggressive broker who can show developers what they want, you will do fine. But it is VERY competitive in NYC also.

My firm thinks the market will be depressed for the next 2-5 years at a minimum. A lot of real estate agents and brokers will go out of business during this time.

It's a very hard but if you love it then you can make a nice living and got alot of inside information when you got enough money to make money.
