Just finished reading this article about social media strategy. Many authors don't want to use it and other authors just set up social media presence on Facebook or Twitter and then post updates.. then complain it's not working..
This article goes more in-depth on how to actually do soc. media strategically (and even uses author-related stuff as sample).
