This study was conducted in the realm of sports and athletics.

But I found it also to be true for entrepreneurs.

Some great takeaways, including it's never too late to get started, the benefits of introversion, and self-control.

Also, a general enjoyment for the process, even in discomfort. Really aligns with my thoughts about "following passion" -- don't be passionate about specifics, be passionate about the process and your journey.

Use of visualization. 80% of the participants in the study said they used a visualization practice as part of their mental training. They would mentally rehearse how they would perform during an upcoming competition, cognitively running through possible scenarios and what they would do under various conditions.
I wonder how many entrepreneurs actually do it. This is not visualizing your dreams becoming a reality but going through the motions of your sales meetings, product creation, managing employees, etc.

And how many people do it like athletes daily and for extended periods of time?

I haven't done that all too much but suspect that it could have a positive influence on your effectiveness and efficiency.

*Me, stands and looks around like the guy from the meme with the jacket*

My process right is definitely extremely discomforting, totally trying to find the enjoyment of right now. Seems a little nonexistent, not trying to complain, but just stating how I feel.

Currently it's me taking a Sledge Hammer and trying to dismantle or knock down a very thick brickwall that won't budge no matter what output action I do. Except for a series of adjusting and then taking action.

I used visualization in my 30's to lift massive amount of weight when going to the gym. It was so effective, I needed to get 3 orthopedic surgeries due to the weight out-pacing and out-gaining what my joints, tendons, and ligaments could handle.
