I'm a Computer Science + Business 3rd year student in the US, I'll be working minimum wage over the break at my university. After my rent and food expenses, I'll have about $5k + 1k (current savings) in the bank.
What online business/freelancing could I realistically do to make more money with less direct time? Minimum wage returns directly depend on the hours I put in, I want to use my Computer Science or business skills to make money. I'm kind of interested in the online agency business where I can get clients and outsource work and handle some myself too.
STRENGTHS
1. Can build websites/apps and other stuff based on interest
2. Can write great concise emails that get replies from important people
3. Can talk to anyone, good choice of words
4. Not scared of rejection
5. I can read the room, emotions, intentions and incentives
6. Can find anything I'm looking for, and understand abstract ideas
7. Can make impressive presentations
8. Great eye for design and marketing
EXPERIENCE
1. Built a project at a hackathon that won the Best App award out of 1k people
2. Vice President of a top fraternity at my school
3. Dealt with small business owners as the Vice President of my college's Business Club
FAILURES
1. Been trying to make money online but failing since I was 13
2. My fear is 0 traction, if i get even 1 client, I'd be happy and know how to expand
3. Lack of commitment: Tried dropshipping and freelancing but didn't fully commit and quit too early, tried multiple times but quit too early because of no traction
LIMITATIONS
Can only work online due to visa issues
What kind of business could I REALISTICALLY start online and get some money coming in? I'm ready to learn basically anything and stay up nights if I have to. I'm also down to work for free with anyone who's already successful and can mentor me (I won't annoy you I promise, I learn fast).
