Hey so I am starting up a local advertising business magazine that will go out to 10,000 houses for the price of 70 for a full page advert. what is the best way to get customers? I can’t offer a free month as I don’t have enough money, I know this is the best way to get people onboard but how would you guys go about this because I’m stuck at the moment. I’ve tried calling a few businesses and they said no. Even though I know they advertise in another local magazine that is 3 times the price.

What's unique about your magazine compared to the 10 other spam papers I receive each week?

Why not make it a local website and advertise to way more than 10,000? Use social media as teasers.

I'm going to see if I can find a link to something like this that is in Omaha, Nebraska. It's a monthly paper.

Nope, can't find it. They had about 5 in different parts of the city. Anyone from Omaha here remember these? One was The West 'O'. One was like the Mid Town 'O' and they had a few more. They would interview local businesses and run an article about you if you bought advertisement. They had it going on for awhile, no clue what happened to them.
