I agree with the points stock investing is not a business...and it can be very emotional.The graph is missing the most important item of all, the flaw of mainstream investing which is TIME.
If you fall into this "trap", the process highlighted above could take 10 years to complete. And at the end of it, you're starting over. Also, many people have to sell on the market decline if they lose their jobs, or are furloughed and deemed "non-essential" by the COVID-19 hysterians.
Free Capital by Guy Thomas is a good read and insight.I agree with the points stock investing is not a business...and it can be very emotional.
I think equities do have a part to play in asset class creation but not a major part,one of the main benefits in my opinion is the tax treatment.
