There's a post about this on other forums showing close up photos mainly of the cutting blades mechanism and how it would not have cut the painting. They believe it is a stunt or a trick. The original painting gets rolled up while a fake, cut up one, scrolls down and that is what you see.

Take a look at the blades in your picture.

Yea.. i was gonna say.. there are also two different mechanisms. One shows the roller mechanism like you see at 0:12... then other shots show the exact blades.

This is what the inside of a shredder looks like:

This is there second version:

the one with the xacto blades is a ridiculous fake

the stunt is real though as far as i know... the video of him making it is fishy

or maybe they made multiple versions of the shredder, and the first version... theo ones with the razors, didn’t work, but they still used the footage anyway even though the shredder didn’t work.

Listen.. that person payed 1.4 million for that painting? That painting is worth a lot more now.People will be dying to get their hands o that piece now. I wouldn't be surprised if someone paid 3 million for it now... if not more

Let's be honest here.... in the real art world $1.4 million is not a drop in the bucket. Not 1 person at the museum has even mentioned this. I didn't look it up to see who bought it but I'd imagine she had that much money in her change purse.
