So this is a military aircraft graveyard.
Maybe some of these planes were used a few times, maybe more.
Maybe some of them were useful.
The sheer amount of planes produced which are now just sitting in some areas in the world (alot of contries have such graveyards) is amazing.
Then I started thinking, what about the tanks? The trucks? Ships?
Then I started thinking even more, what about appliances, electronics, furnitare, all the useless junk in landfills?
To me this represents the destroyed production of a generation of humans.
Think about how much effort this took to make.
The miners to dig up the precious metals.
The drivers to transport them.
The foundry workers to smelt them.
The chemists to think of ways to refine them.
The engineers to create them.
The crew to maintan them.
...
This is a rather long list.
Each plane represents the combined effort and production of tens of thousands of people.
And for what?
To maybe drop a few bombs?
So much of what we produce is just unwanted junk divorced from the market or worse, so expensive to recycle that we keep digging, keep transporting, keep smelting and so on...
