Commodities Investing

My knowledge of stock investing is limited. That being said regardless of the topic I like to look for trends. That being said it appears that the commodities to DOW ratio is at, or near the lowest it has ever been.

Does anyone have any insight into investing in commodities indexes and/or good resources so that I am able to conduct more in-depth research.

I'm not an expert in any means, but I have some insight in investing into some single commodities. I would say it's a good investment opportunity, however you have to put in a huge amount of work when investing in single commodities futures. I traded Cotton futures for some time, and it was pretty profitable. But commissions are high, that's sad but yeah.
