Background
I grew up below even blue collar. Most of my family don't work and haven't in my lifetime, some have never worked in their entire lives. They don't leave the place that they're born and are generally pretty miserable. I want better, hence the name.
I chose not to go to university because the debt terrified me. I've worked minimum wage and freelance contracts over the last few years since leaving school. My most recent freelance contract has just ended and I'm scrambling a little but now seems like the best time to make a leap too.
Next Steps
I'm about to start reading MJ's books but I couldn't hold off registering any longer. Reading the books is definitely an important first step and obviously, my intentions may change after reading.
Idea-wise, I want to start an e-commerce company because it's something I have the most familiarity with. I have access to a mentor who runs an Amazon/eBay store and is working on a website and I have a fair bit of web design knowledge.
I have some savings but I think some reliable income is necessary for the early stages. I'm trying to get re-hired for a job I worked in the past. It's work from home, probably 15-20 hours/week working whatever times are convenient for me and pays $20/hour. With the currency F*ckery in my country right now, that's around twice the minimum wage and more than anyone I know gets paid by far. The flexibility will be great for working on the business too.
Goals
Where do I want to be? Well, not in Britain for a start, so that's definitely part of my goals but...
Business profitable within 6 months.
Full-time income from it within a year.
£1 million profit year within 3 years.
I'll narrow down bigger goals when I'm getting closer to that point but best believe I have bigger goals in mind.
