AT&T boss retires with $274,000 a month for life

If you’re ever wondering why the poor hate the rich here’s an example. Not saying he’s evil for taking such a large payout, but that’s how it’s perceived by the masses.

While 30 million are unemployed, the CEO of a hugely indebted company retires with a $64 million pension account.

3/4 of renters can’t afford rent, but he can afford to buy an entire house every month.

Even better when the POTUS calls you out:

It is what it is. We can say the same thing about all the people receiving $600 a week from unemployment. While other people who were students aren't getting anything right now.

I don't understand the purpose of this thread, should he donate it all to people in need for rent money or what?

That's his exit, you could say the same for many people on this forum(hello MJ), sounds so communistic idk.

I was more talking about the perception of a not so great CEO exiting huge during a crisis.

Let’s face it, the guy duffed many acquisitions and company debt is all time high. Stock price lower than when he started.

Good for him for banking some $$$. I would too and so would everyone else.

Yep. It’s all about perception.

During his tenure as CEO of AT&T, Stephenson was frequently quoted as having stated, "Screw the customers, I'm taking care of the shareholders." Whenever reminded that, without any customers, there would be no shareholders, as the corporation would obviously be forced into bankruptcy, Stephenson would reply, "I don't know, let me chew on that''

Dont know why but I find that pretty funny lol
