Hey guys,
I have been on this forum for over 2 months and its helped me tremendously. I followed envision's post and starting listening to podcasts and reading books and started doing something. I ended up doing freelancing and failed badly but managed to get 2 jobs ( and am hoping to get many more in the future).

This is what i plan to do:
- Earn atleast $15,000 to fund the first year of my university, and for a business
- Improve my social life
- Get jacked
-Get closer to god

To do this, I have started doing the following things -
- Reading self help books - tmf , efficiency, the obstacle is the way, how to get rich, meditations and a few others
- Lifting excessively with a strict diet
- Apply for freelance writing jobs- write for 1 hour everyday and read a book on copy- following Lex's plans
- Learn web design - Fox's post
- Listen to podcasts that kick a$$

After learning web design i aim to monetize it, like i did with copy. Since i don't know much about both, but can write a bit i have already applied to freelance writing jobs and got a few.

My only problem is that i have a terrible social life, and that is what i hate most about myself. I don't really have much friends and i get depressed when i watch people having fun on social media, having a good following and girls chasing them. Its the only thing that holds me back. I get sad and engage in ego-boosting activities. Its kind of shitty when everyone around you seems to have a good social life and you are the odd one out. I have desperately tried to improve mine but haven't been able to do so. Reality is i probably wont have given a F*ck about money if had a good social life- all i want is good social circle. To keep myself distracted and because i know its better for me long term i decided to earn money as a side hustle, because procrastination F*cked me up big time.

I would love to have your feedback on this

Thanks.

Get the book Food - What the hell should I eat by dr Mark Hyman. Helps you feel amazing.
Stop masturbating/porn . It leads to social anxeity.
Try joining a sports club. That will help you meet people, work out, have good time and build confidence. I really recommend a fighting sport, like Jui jitsu, MMA, Boxing, Muay Thai etc. Try it out. I think you will love it.

Also search for Jordan Peterson on youtube and look at some classes.

Too many things, you have to concentrate on one thing at the time. Start with the healthy part which is the most useful and the easiest to begin with. Then you have to choose web design OR freelance.
Also, books or podcasts are useless until they solve a problem you currently have (GOLD! - The absolute BEST book you MUST read!).
Focus on taking action instead of reading/listening/finding motivation. Start producing and stop consuming.

I know how hard it is for a kid to stay away from facebook or instagram, but you need to understand that people's lives are NOT as they seem in their pictures. Delete them or reduce the time you spent on them. Instead, start talking to people on forums like TFF or any other forum about a topic you are passionate about, and keep in touch with these people, because these are like-minded people, and the social part is much easier if you have around people like you.
Also, I think that to become better at anything, the only thing you have to do is practice. So you wanna become more sociable? Put yourself more often in social contexts.

Do you really think social media is real life?

It's escapism, people who spend large amounts of time on social media have no life otherwise they wouldn't have time to spend so much time on social media
.

Do you a pattern here?

They're constructing an image of what they want to be not what they are.

It's smoke and mirrors, lotions and potions.

Find some interest groups near you, join them & meet people in a low risk environment.

Take it from there.

This is what i plan to do. It's hard staying away from social media, but its whats needed. I plan to spend the next 2-4 months learning mostly while also searching for jobs. Once lockdown ends, i will try to beat my anxiety and put myself in as many social situations as i can.
