Dealing with a mans greatest distraction.

Also, books like cant hurt me from David Goggins teach us how to flip or re-frame the things we tell ourselves to push ourselves further. Instead of saying "I don't have enough time to work", say "I think I have too much time to work", instead of saying "this is too hard", say "I don't think...

Dealing with a mans greatest distraction.

This is why deep work is such an important concept. Rules for success in a distracted world. 3 hours of focused work, the rest of the time can go to distractions and pointless ventures. Get your 3 hours in a day and you're good. Use fear and urgency to motivate yourself, remove short term...

Knowing when to walk away from an idea or keep pushing forward...

    IDEA
I think MJ mentioned something to that effect in his chapter about the marketmind. You won't really know until you put it out there and see how people react to it. Gotta give it a shot, see what happens and if it fails incorporate the lessons you learned into your next project.

Knowing when to walk away from an idea or keep pushing forward...

    IDEA
Thanks so much for sharing this. This is the kind of information I need-to see if my idea already exists or is in the process of being done. That way I can fast track my way to a better/different idea or improve on an existing one

    Anyone have experience using FIVERR?

Hello! I am looking to possibly post on Fiverr for a software developer or coder to consult with, and possibly hire to develop a Québec french translation app that I've been working on. Does anyone on the forum have any experience with hiring professionals on Fiverr and can give me some pointers...

Knowing when to walk away from an idea or keep pushing forward...

    IDEA
Thanks for the reply MJ!!! :) The app is intended for anyone looking to translate from english (or any other language) into Québec french. So it could literally be anyone in the world looking to move to and live in the province of Québec. Thus it is not exclusive to people living in Québec...

Knowing when to walk away from an idea or keep pushing forward...

    IDEA
Thank you for the recommendation, Andy. I think its a question that I have to ask myself. If I have to be honest-probably not right now but if I did some more research and looked more into the demand for a program like mine I would have a much better idea of how to move forward. Thanks for the...

Knowing when to walk away from an idea or keep pushing forward...

    IDEA
Hello and good morning to my fellow fastlaners, In September 2020, I read the millionaire fastlane and it inspired me to create a translation engine (or software system/SaS) called Québecois which seeks to mimic the french language spoken in my native Québec, Canada (I live and work in...

When did you realize the system is rigged?

    NOTABLE!
I think it was when I got my first pay cheque working in the health system. I saw the crazy amount of money that was deducted in taxes and fees. Then months later when I applied for a permanent position my hours got cut from 39 to 35 hours a week which made it even more difficult to save and...

What book are you reading? Right now. Post up!

    NOTABLE! HOT! BOOKS CHAT
Hey guys! Can anyone on the forum recommend books or sources of information for creating start-ups? Or specifically sources for information on how to start one in the middle of a pandemic? I've thought of checking out the lean startup as a possible place to start...

Personal challenge - no porn, no coffee, more discipline!

    HOT! MINDSET
No fap is definitely a real thing!!! Good job on the commitment. I've tried no fap for a couple of weeks and it was great. Felt like my focus, motivation, mood and concentration was much much better. I fell off after a few weeks (its tough) but for the short while it was great. Keep up the good...

    Gaming chairs... do you recommend?

    MINDSET
Hey fastlaners, this is the second part of my first question about standing desks. Do any of you have experience using gaming chairs for alternating between standing and sitting for extended periods of time? They seem pretty comfortable overall with more lumbar and neck support.

    Standing desks... Recommend?

    MINDSET
Does anyone on the forum feel more productive when they are working standing as opposed to sitting for long periods of time? I am wondering if I should invest in a standing desk as back pain from sitting is starting to distract me from getting work done (even though I've been taking frequent...

Just finished reading the 10 pillars of wealth by Alex Becker. Overall, I enjoyed it although it felt somewhat redundant after reading the Millionaire Fastlane and Unscripted. Alex can come off as a bit of narcissist to some people, but he really is onto something with his dopamine fasting and...

    I've Read UNSCRIPTED!

    GOLD! HOT!
I've read unscripted! Freaking loved it, ever since I read TMFL Ive been more motivated to start entrepreneurship than ever. Uncripted compliments TMFL, and simplified a lot of financial concepts that I was having difficulty grasping (such as basic financial literacy, how bonds work etc...). I...

    Is CENTS Destructive to Action?

    GOLD! MINDSET
I had a similar issue in that BEFORE I ever read Unscripted I had way more business ideas and I was way more creative I felt, and then I read CENTS and felt a little discouraged because it wipes out a lot of opportunities. However, I agree that it is important to just take action and see where...

What are you proud of this week? How did you win?

    MINDSET
Today I came home from work feeling absolutely exhausted and in no mood to work on entrepreneurial stuff. I felt discouraged and got really down on myself, worrying that I don't have what it takes to do this. I sat down, did some sudoku and was about to call it a day. After doing some Sudoku...

Always an uphill battle always an uphill battle always an uphill battle

    RANT
It's frustrating for sure!!! Maybe a small mental break (1-2 months) from renovations is what you need to figure out whether you want to continue or not?
