[Progress] Helping 100 People Land New Jobs

    EXECUTION
Thanks Andy! It's actually $400 per month. That's for 2 sessions per week. And yes, I agree. I need something in between the $19.99 tripwire, and the $399 coaching. I'm thinking of possibly trying to "productize my service". For example, my coaching package encompasses everything I have...

[Progress] Helping 100 People Land New Jobs

    EXECUTION
Tuesday September 11th, 2018 11:57PM I had a coaching call tonight with the client who initially paid me the $400. We've had three sessions now, and they've all been pretty solid. She had a phone interview last week, and she got an email yesterday asking her to come in for an in-person...

[Progress] Helping 100 People Land New Jobs

    EXECUTION
I'm running a new business in the job hunting niche... Luckily, I connected with @Andy Black shortly after buying the domain name, and he asked me a super insightful question. You can hear that whole story here: So now, I've set a goal (a pretty audacious one at that) to help 100 people land...

    Who have you helped?

    GOLD! HOT!
This is the biggest lesson. I ran a blog/fledgling business in the personal development space. I started the blog to try & help people live happier lives. And I wrote all these blog posts... And I created all these lead magnets... And I tried to sell different products... But after two...

Sell My Product Before I Make It?

Hey everyone! Just wanted to post a quick update. I ran with my initial idea. I did this for the first 5 customers who purchased (Super small sample size). But all of them were pretty happy they were getting an hour of coaching for just $9.99. It gave me the confidence I needed to finish...

Sell My Product Before I Make It?

Thank you for the detailed response on this one. I really appreciate it. Definitely something to think about. Curious if anyone else has tried something similar??

Sell My Product Before I Make It?

Good point... But If I recall, I think I remember reading in the 4 Hour Work Week that he used a similar concept to test his offers.

How to and Where to start?

Want to echo this point. @Andy Black has a ton of good reading on this topic also. But the basic premise is, focus first on helping someone. Once you help enough people, you'll discover what topics to start with and where to go from there.

Sell My Product Before I Make It?

Hey Everyone! I'm launching a new business in the "job hunting" space. I've spent the last month building a small list and running surveys to learn more about them, their struggles, their desires, and how I can help them. I want to sell an ebook and I have a pretty good idea of the content...

    The Business Of Selling Courses

Something I've done in the past, that's given me some good insight into my customers is sending a "Strange Question" email. I can't recall where I came across the idea, but basically, as part of your auto-responder sequence, you include an email that uses the subject line of "Strange...

I'm At Work Right Now, And I REALLY Want to Quit. Should I?

    HOT!
Hey guys, Thank you for the tough love and hard truths. I needed that. I was frustrated yesterday. I was at a boiling point. But you guys told me what I needed to hear. I'm not quitting my job. On my drive home I was thinking, I got home and I thought some more. And then I put a plan in...

I'm At Work Right Now, And I REALLY Want to Quit. Should I?

    HOT!
I'm thinking about quitting my job. Actually, I'm DYING to quit my job. But I'm scared. I'm very scared. I'm scared that I won't have enough money to survive. I'm 23 years old, I have a 6 year old son (yes, I was 17 when he was born). He spends half his time with me, the other half with his...

Last month I had 86,000 visitors to my new site and I could use your help

First, congrats on the success of your blog! I checked it out and it looks pretty good. What exactly are you waiting for to monetize? And how long has it taken you to get to 86,000 visitors? What tactics have you used to grow your readership?

    I had a good Idea -> I Created a working prototype/POC -> Now what?

    IDEA
Maybe you could contact that company with the similar product and license the right to your new tech to it. The only caveat would be a patent. You'd have to patent it first before your license it. Good luck to you though! I'd love to hear your progress.

Myers Briggs Inspired Employment Website: Feedback Please!

That's the beauty of the website! You don't have to search for position after position (though you'll have that option if you want to), but after we assess your personality traits and skills, we'll show you which positions are currently open that match your skills/traits. The idea of the...

Myers Briggs Inspired Employment Website: Feedback Please!

And for this one, I totally agree with you. But that would be up to the companies to decide individually. It's not like there's only one personality type that would work as a programmer. Also, personalities aren't black and white, they're a blending and mixture. So although you may score as an...

Myers Briggs Inspired Employment Website: Feedback Please!

If I gave each company free listings for 90 days, they would have nothing to lose right? So during that 90 days I would be able to drive traffic to the site through ppc (or other means). So I hit the companies first. Then use them draw in the job seekers. Seems like a legitimate solution?
